The first four books recount how Earth is invaded in the middle of World War II,
and the warring factions have to band together to keep Earth from being
dominated by the invaders. It is now 20 years later and only North America, The
Greater Reich, and the USSR remain unoccupied by the aliens. These last three
powers of Earth do not trust each other. Man is now advancing rapidly
technologically and has also conquered space.
The alien colonization fleet now arrives and a whole
new wave of problems for the aliens arrive with them. Join the fun because
nobody does alternative history like Harry Turtledove. I highly recommend the
first four books in the series.
